US Judge Roslyn Mauskopf of New York City; Dumbo

The state of New York presented Roslyn Renee Mauskopf with a law license in 1982 after she graduated from Georgetown University Law School. 

Roslyn has had her significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past thirty-two (32) years. Put simply, she has relied on public pork since she received her law license in 1982.

Former President George W. Bush was duped into appointing Roslyn as a District Court judge in 2007. Roslyn didn’t receive the appointment because she was the most qualified attorney in the greater New York City area, she received it because she had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In a March 2014 ruling, the US Second Circuit Court of Appeals reversed a decision by Roslyn wherein she denied to award attorney fees to a plaintiff in regards to the Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).

The appellate court ruled that Roslyn “abused her discretion” and “committed an error of law” by refusing to award granting fees to a man who won long-term disability benefits for the depression he suffered over the feel and sound of his prosthetic aortic valve.

As usual when dealing with a moronic judge, it is the taxpayers who pay for such incompetency via paying the wages of appellate judges and their staff.

As we speak (ca. April 2014), Roslyn remains sitting as a US District Court judge in Brooklyn.
