The state of South Carolina presented Lawrence J. Purvis Jr. with a law license in 2005 1996 after he graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School.

The Office of Discipline Counsel found Larry guilty of the following misconduct.

1. Knowingly made false statements to a trial court
2. Falsified evidence
3. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
4. Intentionally violated Rules of Professional Conduct
5. Falsely certified signatures on sworn affidavits

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme Court punished Larry by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand
