Attorney Matthew Shannon of Washington, DC; ethical dwarf

The District of Columbia presented Matthew F. Shannon with a law license in 1975.

The DC Court of Appeals found Matt guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
• Failed to provide client with written statement as to basis for fees
• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Failed to safeguard client funds

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the DC Court of Appeals punished Matt by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.
