Attorney Tomas Nocella of Philadelphia; congenital liar

The state of Pennsylvania presented Thomas M. Nocella with a law license in 1971 after he graduated from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit.

Tommy’s misconduct took place while he was sitting as a Common Pleas Judge in Philadelphia. The Judicial Commission found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

Unfortunately, former Gov. Ed Rendell was duped into appointing Tommy to the bench in 2008 despite the fact that he wasn’t the most qualified attorney in the Philadelphia area. Tommy received the appointment because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

As a judicial candidate in 2009 and 2011, Tommy repeatedly lied to the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention.

In addition, while Tommy was counsel to the Appreciation Fund as a Municipal Court Judge, he violated the Pennsylvania Constitution when he repeatedly lied to counsel for the Board of Ethics.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered Tommy banned Tommy from the bench for the remainder of his miserable life.

As we speak (ca. April 2014), Tommy practices law in the Philadelphia area.

Warning: Tommy doesn’t carry legal malpractice insurance
