Attorney Milan Azar of Johnston, RI; moronic liar

The state of Rhode Island presented Milan T. Azar with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from Northeastern University Law School.

The Rhode Island Ethics Commission found Milan guilty of the following misconduct.

Milan’s problems began with a billing dispute related to his representation in several family court guardianship cases for children in the same family.

Milan had the chutzpah to blame the overbilling of his clients (victims) as a “staff error.” However, Milan knew this defense was patently false because he didn’t employ any office staff.

Milan laughingly admitted that he made false statements because he was embarrassed. If that’s true, then he’s likely the only lawyer in Rhode Island history that ever admitted to being embarrassed when caught lying.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Rhode Island Supreme Court punished Milan by gifting him with an order to perform 20 hours of pro bono (free) legal services.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Rhode Island Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Milan the Liar.

As we speak (ca. March 2014), Milan practices at The Cedars Complex in Johnston, Rhode Island.
