Attorney James Conrad of Warren, MI; convicted drunk

The state of Michigan presented James P. Conrad with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit.

The Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct which took place while

Jimmy was arrested by Detroit police on suspicion of drunk driving. According to court records, a breath test indicated Jimmy’s blood-alcohol content was .21 percent. A level of 0.8 percent is the legal standard for drunkenness in Michigan.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Jimmy’s First conviction for driving under the influence. Several years earlier he was arrested by the Michigan State Police. At that time a breath test indicated Jimmy’s blood-alcohol content was .20 percent.

Of course it goes without saying that Jimmy likely broke the law by driving drunk on hundreds of occasions, but was only caught twice.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a 6-month suspension from his judicial duties.

As we speak (ca. April 2014), Jimmy practices with Mancini Schrender Kline PC at 28225 Mound Road in Warren, Michigan, which is a suburb of Detroit.
