Fox Business host Stuart Varney: Today’s “Humanitarian” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Fox Business host Stuart Varney

Today’s “Humanitarian” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Stuart. In the past, he has been the recipient of one (1) Moron Award that can be viewed by going to the Moron Award Category.

Stuart is the host of “Varney & Co.” on the Fox News Comedy Network.

During a recent 03/13/14) rant on his comedy show, Stuart claimed that paying overtime to workers could stifle companies like Google, and that a proposal by Obama to change overtime rules was essentially “buying votes,” and trying to “dictate income in the private sector.”

The Humanitarian went on to say:

  • “This is redistribution [of income] by executive order.”
  •  “He is commanding higher salaries for millions of people.”

Fox Comedy News host Bill Hemmer agreed that Stu had “an interesting point,” and wondered if the overtime rule change would be a “continued drag” on the economy. The Humanitarian replied to Hemmer’s comment as follows:

  • “In the earlier days of Google, they had all kinds of youngsters, up and coming strivers, who would work day and night.”
  • “That’s how they built the company; tech startups with really a drive to succeed and climb that food chain.”
  • “Can you imagine the number of retroactive lawsuits from all kinds of people who were eligible for overtime, didn’t get it, and now say, ‘Come on, pay up?”

In essence, Stu finds it acceptable for companies to falsely claim employees are part of management and able to hire and fire people so as to avoid paying them overtime.

In truth, Stu the Humanitarian sympathizes with those poor multi-millionaire business owners who are screwing their employees so they can make millions more every year.

Congrats Stuart; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Humanitarians”; you are far too humble.
