Attorney Eugene Bolin Jr. of Edmonds, WA; ethical misfit
The state of Washington presented Eugene Nelson Bolin Jr. with a law license in
1981 after he graduated from the University of Puget Sound Law School.
The Washington State Bar found Gene guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Gene sent copies of correspondence to parties that he absolutely knew
were represented by counsel.
Gene represented the mother and brother in a closely held family corporation. Gene’s clients
had a dispute with the remaining corporate offices, three sisters. The mother and brother had
claims against the sisters both individually and in their corporate capacities.
The sisters were represented by separate lawyers in their corporate and individual capacities.
Gene sent copies of several letters directly to the sisters. The sisters’ attorney asked Gene not to
send any further correspondence to her clients. Despite said request, Gene sent at least two
additional letters to the sisters.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington
State Supreme Court punished Gene by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
As we speak (March 2014), Gene practices with the Law Offices of Eugene N. Bolin Jr. at 144
Railroad Avenue in Edmonds, Washington.
