Attorney Richard Shaw II of Cheektowaga, NY; ethical elf

The state of New York provided Richard R. Shaw II with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from the University of Buffalo Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the 8^th Judicial District found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

• Demanded sexual relations as condition of representation
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Represented client when conflict re: judgment adversely affected
• Required client charged with prostitution to provide services to him for free in return for free legal representation

Dick’s conduct in demanding sex in return for free legal services kind of gives a new meaning to the term “pro bono.”

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patrons for Attorney Misfits sitting on Grievance Committee of the 8^th Judicial District punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. April 2016) Dick practices at 3099 William Street in Cheektowaga, New York.
