► Attorney John Doherty of Rutland, VT; convicted pothead

The state of Vermont presented John R. Doherty with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Western State University Law School.

The Vermont Bar Court found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

In accordance with a search warrant, State and local police searched Johnny’s home and seized marijuana, three marijuana plants, and various drug paraphernalia.

Johnny was charged with a felony, the knowing and unlawful possession of marijuana in an amount consisting of more than two ounces.

Johnny subsequently pled guilty of one count of cultivation of marijuana and was given a one-year deferred sentence. He was also ordered to receive counseling and screening.

An unreliable source indicated that Johnny opted to receive counseling at the Willie Nelson Drug Abuse Rehabilitation Clinic located in Abbot, Texas.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2014) Johnny practices with Medor, McCamley & Doherty, P.C. at 10 Burnham Avenue in Rutland, Vermont.
