Attorney Philip Kleinsmith of Colorado Springs; ethical gremlin

The state of Idaho presented Philip Kleinsmith with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Maine Law School.

The Idaho Bar Counsel found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

  1. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  2. Failed to communicate with clients
  3. Failed to provide competent representation (Moron)
  4. Charged or collected an excessive fee
  5. Failed to decline representation when required to do so
  6. Failed to properly supervise non-attorney office staff
  7. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Idaho Supreme Court punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Idaho Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Phil.

As we speak (ca. March 2014) Phil practices with Kleinsmith & Associates at 6035 Erin Park Drive in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
