Attorney Madeline Galvin of Delmar, NY; ethical misfit

 

The state of New York presented Kathleen Madeline Sheila Galvin with a law license in 1974 after she graduated from Albany Law School.

 

The Third Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Madeline guilty of the following misconduct.

  1. Engaged in fraudulent conduct
  2. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  3. Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Madeline!)
  4. Pursued frivolous claims on behalf of client
  5. Failed to cooperate with Albany Bar Assoc re: fee dispute Neglected client matters

As a consequence of her misconduct his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Madeline by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of her law license.

 

In truth, the enablers for attorney misconduct sitting on the Third Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Madeline.
