The state of Pennsylvania provided Leighton Cohen with a law license in 1976.

 

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) has found Sammy guilty of the following misconduct.

 

In one matter, Leighton was criminally convicted of one count of deceptive or fraudulent business practices.

 

The Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas charged Leighton charged Leighton with 14 criminal counts, which are as follows:

  • 2 counts of corrupt organizations
  • 1 count of dealing with proceeds of unlawful activities
  • 1 count of the unauthorized use of a computer
  • 1 count of forgery
  • 1 count of uttering a forged document
  • 1 count of theft by deception
  • 1 count of accepting stolen property
  • 1 count of engaging in deceptive or fraudulent business practices
  • 1 count of misapplication of entrusted property and property of government or financial institutions
  • 1 count of identity theft
  • 1 count of insurance fraud
  • 1 count of criminal conspiracy
  • 1 count of criminal use of communication facility

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Leighton by gifting him a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. March 2014) Leighton practices at 465 West Linden Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
