Attorney Max Ernst of Philadelphia; ethical gremlin

The state of Pennsylvania presented Max Josef Ernst with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from Loyola University Law School in New Orleans.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) has found Max guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to comply with client’s requests for information
  • Failed to explain matter to extent necessary for client to make informed decision regarding representation
  • Collected an illegal or clearly excessive fee (cheater)
  • Made a false statement of material fact
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Max by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2014) Max practices with Braverman Kaskey, PC at One Penn Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
