Attorney Mark Obert of Salem, OR; repeat offender

The state of Oregon provided Mark G. Obert with a law license in 1996 after she graduated from Willamette University Law School.

The Oregon State Bar found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

  1. Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
  2. Charged or collected an illegal or clearly excessive fee
  3. Improperly divided fees with other attorneys
  4. Pursued claims he knew were frivolous in nature
  5. Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Mark!)

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Mark’s First Bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2014) Mark practices at 495 State Street in Salem, Oregon.
