Attorney Leonard Shefren of Omaha; ethical gremlin

The state of Nebraska presented Leonard W. Shefren with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from Creighton University Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel found Lenny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Improperly advanced or guaranteed assistance to clients
  • Violated his oath of office as an attorney

In an overt effort to cash in on his ongoing ambulance chasing scheme, Lenny improperly guaranteed bank loans for 20 different clients who were primarily involved in work related injuries. The improper loans totaled approximately $550,000.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on Nebraska Supreme Court punished Lenny by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2012) Lenny practices at 619 North 90th Street in Omaha, Nebraska.
