Attorney Burton Gould of Wailuku, HI; ethical misfit
The state of Hawaii presented Burton D. Gould with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Northwestern University Law School.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Burton guilty of the following misconduct.
- Engaged in conduct involving fraud, dishonesty, deceit or misrepresentation
- Knowingly disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal
- Engaged in the illegal practice of law in a state he wasn’t licensed in
- Displayed cavalier attitude to complying with ethical rules
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on Disciplinary Counsel punished Burton by gifting him with a complimentary 14-day suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. February 2014), Burton practices at 2020 Main Street in Wailuku, Hawaii.
