Attorney Herbert Schultz Jr. of Rock Island, IL; congenital liar

The state of Illinois presented Herbert F. Schultz Jr. with a law license in 2005. He also obtained a law license from Iowa in 1977.

The Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Herbert guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, after agreeing to represent a client in a workers’ compensation matter, he took no steps to advance the claim, and lied to his client for twelve years, falsely telling him that his case was pending.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Herbert by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2014) Herbert practices with Herbert F. Schultz Jr. P.C. at 1617 Second Avenue in Rock Island, Illinois.
