Attorney Ronald Perrick of North Vancouver, BC; ethical dwarf

The Law Society presented Ronald W. Perrick with a law license in 1971 after he graduated from the University of British Columbia Law School.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Bar Society found Ron guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Improper use of power of attorney
  • Backdated assignment of shares to date prior to death of parents of client
  • Failed to respond to communications from another lawyer
  • Failed to record trust transaction with seven days as required
  • Failed to provide quality [competent] services (Dumbo)
  • Improperly withdrew funds from trust account when there was an ongoing dispute
  • Failed to keep client informed of handling of trust fund disbursements
  • Failed to advise client of the basis of his fees
  • Failed to enter into a written contingent fee agreement as required
  • Withdrew fees prior to delivery of a bill

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Committee punished Ron by gifting him with a complimentary 45-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2014) Ron practices at 1641 Lonsdale Avenue in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
