Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY): Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)

Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Mitch. In the past, he has been the recipient of eight (8) Awards in various categories and/or the subject of one (1) opinion piece. Those awards and opinion pieces are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

As is the case with many Bullshitters sitting in the U.S. Senate, Mitch learned how to spew forth falsehoods and/or half-truths while attend law school at the University of Kentucky.

Since Mitch graduated from law school in 1967, he has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough. In other words, if it weren’t for a government check over the past 46 years, Mitch would likely be working as a greeter at the Preston Highway Sam’s Club in Louisville.

During a recent (01/26/14) interview on the Fox News Sunday Comedy Show, Mitch said it would be “irresponsible” to raise the debt ceiling without trying to attach amendments to it.

The Comic went on to say:

  • To pass a “clean” increase on the limit, as President Obama wants, would be wrong because it would not reduce the national debt.
  • “I think for the president to ask for a clean debt ceiling when we have a debt this size of our economy is irresponsible.”

During the presidencies of Reagan and Bush I and Bush 11, Mitch the Comic never said it would be irresponsible when they successfully sought increases in the national debt.

Why is that Mitch?  Different strokes for different folks [wink, wink]?

If Mitch loses his bid for reelection in November 2014, it will be the first time he hasn’t had a government job in 47 years. However, I’m sure he could find gainful employment as a Standup Comedian at the Improv Comedy Club in Louisville.

Congrats Mitch; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Standup Comedians”; you are far too humble.
