Attorney H. Alton Neff of Brick, NJ; repeat offender

The state of New Jersey presented H. Alton Neff with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from St. John’s University Law School.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Neff guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Neff knowingly engaged in a conflict of interest by simultaneously representing the buyers and the seller in a real estate transaction.

Furthermore, Neff failed to explain the matter to the extent reasonably necessary for his clients to make informed decisions about the representation.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Neff’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received one complimentary reprimand and one censure for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Neff by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. January 2014) Neff practices at 1466 Route 88 in Brick, New Jersey.
