Attorney Alan Cilman of Fairfax, VA; serial offender

The state of Virginia presented Alan Jay Cilman with a law license in 1973.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board found Alan guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Failed properly present client funds
  • Made misrepresentations [lied] to his client about status of case
  • Had an improper fee agreement
  • Improperly terminated representation of client
As one would suspect, this wasn’t Alan’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received two (2) complimentary suspensions of his law license and one (1) complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Alan by giving him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. Jan 2014), Alan practices at 4160 Chain Bridge Road in Fairfax, Virginia.
