Judge James Woodroof of Athens, AL; Certified Misogynist The state of Alabama presented James Wright Woodroof with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of Alabama Law School.
Former Gov. Fob James was duped into appointing Jimmy as the Limestone County Probate Judge in 1996. Jimmy didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Huntsville area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.
Jimmy the Misogynist previously presided over the case of Austin Smith Clem who was convicted on one count of first degree rape and two counts of second degree rape in September 2013. At the time, Jimmy sentenced Clem to 30 years in prison; however, Jimmy’s sentence only required Clem to serve two years in community corrections and six years of probation.
Judge Woodroof’s moronic sentence outraged the public, which then led the Court of Appeals to send the matter back to Jimmy for re-sentencing.
Judge Woodroof’s Laughable Re-sentencing of Austin Clem
In a never ending attempt to cement his status as Alabama’s Premier Misogynist, Jimmy re-sentenced Clem the Rapist to five (5) years of probation for raping a teenage neighbor three times.
In an obvious slap at the victim’s family, Jimmy re-sentenced Clem on Christmas Eve, a day that most courts in the country are closed.
Limestone County District Attorney Brian Jones immediately appealed Jimmy’s new sentence by rightfully claiming that it is illegal.
Hopefully, the voters in Limestone County send Jimmy packing if he has the audacity to see re-election in November 2015.
I’m sure Jimmy could easily find employment as a doorman at the Double D Lounge in Huntsville, Alabama. And if that doesn’t work out, he could apply to be a greeter at the Local Wal-Mart.
