Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA): Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Rep. Darrell Issa
Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Darrell. In the past, he has been the recipient of two (2) Awards and the subject of one (1) Award issued to Rush Limbaugh. Those Awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

Since Speaker of the House John Boehner appointed Darrell the Comic as the Chairman of House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, he has cheerfully spent tens of millions in taxpayer dollars in his laughable effort to go after President Obama and Obamacare.

Recently, Darrell decided to take his Comedy Show on the road to Richardson, Texas. The cost of presiding over a meeting of like-minded comedians of the House Committee in Texas likely approached and/or exceeded $1 million.

During the revival style hearing in Texas, Darrell attacked the federally funded navigators who are helping guide Americans in obtaining health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Fellow comedian, Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) chimed in at the hearing by insisting to Dr. Randy Farris, Regional Director for Medicare & Medicaid Services that he had “no confidence” in the Affordable Care Act because he did not trust the HealthCare.gov website to store private information.

Mr. Farris then responded by telling Mike the Comic that no private applicant information was stored on the website. (Dallas Morning News)

Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) insisted to Farris that he had “no confidence” in the Affordable Care Act because he did not trust the HeathCare.gov website to store private information.

Farris, however, said that no private applicant information was stored on the website (Dallas Morning News).

Darrell's fellow comedians on the committee referred to a Fox News Comedy report about an undecover video recorded by conservative screwball James O'Keefe to allege that the navigators were guilty of misconduct.

In response to the O’Keefe reference on the Fox News Comedy Network, Darrell told Mr. Fox:

“You need to watch more of the Stephen Colbert Report, I’m sorry I mean to watch more Fox.”

Advising anyone with an I.Q. approaching triple digits to watch Fox for factual news reports is like telling a drunk to seek advice on the virtues of sobriety from Lindsay Lohan.

Congrats Darrell; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Accomplished “Standup Comedians”; you are far too humble.
