Attorney Thomas Smith of Greeneville, TN; ethical misfit

The state of Tennessee provided Thomas Wood Smith with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the Cumberland Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to return client property to client after being discharged
  • Failed to promptly pursue client’s lawful claims
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. October 2013) Tommy practices at 416 West Main Street in Greeneville, Tennessee.
