Attorney Demetrius Davis of McAllen, TX; ethical misfit

The state of Texas presented Demetrius J. Davis with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from St. Mary’s University Law College.

A panel of the District 3 Grievance Committee found Demetrius guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Engaged in the unlawful practice of law while license suspended
  • Failed to respond to client’s repeated requests for information
  • Failed to inform client when he relocated office from Austin to San Antonio
  • Failed to surrender client file and papers to client’s new attorney
  • Failed to respond to grievance (Up Yours, said Demetrius!)
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Demetrius by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2013) Demetrius continues to practice in the McAllen, Texas area.
