Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) “Lunatic” Award Winner
This isn’t the first Award presented to Louie. In the past, he has been the recipient of nine (9) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.
During a recent appearance with comedian Alisyn Camerota on the Fox News Comedy Channel, Loony Louie decided to provide further proof of his exalted status as one of America’s Premier Lunatics by again going after President Obama and the ongoing government shutdown.
After comedian Camerota pointed out to Louie that after two weeks of a government shutdown, Republican were basically guaranteed to lose on their core goal of repealing, defunding or delaying the president’s health care reform law, Louie the Loon responded as follows:
The Loon went on to repeat his recent warning that if Republicans force the U.S. to default on its debt by refusing to raise the debt ceiling then it “would be an impeachable offense by the president.” The Loon then said:
“This debt default, if the president instructs the treasury secretary that --- though the money is there to pay interest --- if he instructs him to default, I think we’re getting close to a high crime and misdemeanor that would harm this country.”
Does anyone that doesn’t suffer from some form of dementia really give a damn what Louie the Loon says or thinks about anything?
