Attorney Gilbert Torres of Texas City, TX; ethical dwarf

The state of Texas presented Gilbert Torres with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) Law School.

The District 5 Grievance Committee found Gilbert guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to keep client informed about status of legal matter
  • Failed to comply with client’s requests for information

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Gilbert by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 90-day suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Gilbert.

As we speak (ca. September 2013), Gilbert continues to practice in the Texas City, Texas area.
