Attorney Gary Nitsche of Wilmington, DE; ethical gremlin

The state of Delaware presented Gary S. Nitsche with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Gary was also licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in 1987.

The Delaware Supreme Court found Gary guilty of the following misconduct.

Gary found it acceptable to enter into a business partnership with a client and performed legal transactions for both the client and the partnership.

In those transactions, Gary failed to give his client a reasonable opportunity to seek the advice of independent counsel, which he knew was a violation of the disciplinary rules.

When the business failed, Gary’s client (victim) was forced to declare bankruptcy.

As a consequence of his most recent misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Delaware Supreme Court punished Gary by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2013) Gary practices with Weik, Nitsche & Dougherty at 305 North Union Street in Wilmington, Delaware.
