Attorney Wallace Mullinax, Jr. of Greenville, SC; sex with client

The State of South Carolina presented Wallace A. Mullinax, Jr. with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the South Carolina Supreme Court found Wallace guilty of the following misconduct.

As a consequence of him misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme Court punished Wallace by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2013), Wallace practices with Horton Drawdy Ward Mullinax & Farry, P.A. at 307 Pettigru Street in Greenville, South Carolina.

In one matter, Wallace was hired by a client to handle a domestic case. At the client’s directions, Wallace filed a separate maintenance action seeking possession of the residence, alimony, joint custody of the children, child support, and other ancillary relief.

Subsequently, Wallace found it acceptable to engage in sexual relations with his client both at his office and at his residence.

At one point, Wallace received a call from opposing counsel advising that he had received a report from a private investigator that indicated that he and his client were having an affair. After the call, Wallace called his client and told her she would need to find another attorney.

On its self-serving website at www.hortonlawfirm.net, the firm fails to disclose Wallace’s misconduct as aforementioned. Apparently, the firm decided to conceal this relevant info so as to not limit its future victim pool.
