Attorney Nitor Egbarin of Hartford, CT; ethical dwarf

The state of Connecticut provided Nitor V. Egbarin with a law license in 1987.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Nitor guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Failed to notify client of settlement of his claims
  • Knowingly lied to client about a material fact
In many instances, Nigor sent his clients to receive medical services from a chiropractor. In each instance, Nigor provided the chiropractor with a letter of protection, which Nigor would pay his clients’ medical bills out of any settlements received.

Nigor settled one case for $12,000 on behalf of Edrick Murrell. Nigor never notified the chiropractor of the settlement and never paid any monies to him even though Nigor knew his bills totaled $4,222.

Nigor settled another case for $4,800 and again failed to notify the chiropractor even though he was aware his bills totaled $2,021.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Nitor by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2013) Nitor practices at 100 Pearl Street in Hartford, Connecticut.
