Attorney Terrance Gough of Eugene, OR; ethical dwarf

The state of Oregon provided Terrance P. Gough of Eugene with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of Idaho Law School.

The Oregon State Bar found Terrance guilty of the following misconduct

In one matter, Terrance represented Suzanne Kennedy in a divorce proceeding. Thereafter, Terrance prepared, filed, and served on Suzanne’s husband a petition for dissolution of marriage.

Subsequently, Suzanne and her husband agreed upon the terms of the divorce, but Terrance failed to prepare and file with the court a judgment of dissolution of marriage, despite notice from the court that it intended to dismiss the proceeding for want of prosecution. As a consequence of Terrance’s gross negligence, the trial entered a judgment of dismissal of his client’s divorce action.

Over a five month period of time following the judge’s dismissal, Terrance failed to take any further action on Suzanne’s behalf. He further failed to disclose to her that her dissolution of marriage proceeding had been dismissed by the court, despite her repeated inquiries about the status of the matter.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Terrance by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2013) Terrance practices at 2800 Applewood Lane in Eugene, Oregon.
