Attorney Susan Gunter of Little Rock; ethical dwarf

The state of Arkansas presented Susan Gordon Gunter with a law license in 1981 after she graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Susan guilty of the following misconduct.

In one mater, Susan borrowed $100,000 for her then client, Darlene Carvin, through Carvin’s business, Atlantis Beauty & Body, LLC.

As security for the $100,000 loan, Susan gave Ms. Carvin a mortgage on property in North Little Rock, owned by Susan or by an LLC (Limited Liability Corporation) owned by Susan. However, no such mortgage had ever been recorded of public record, a fact well known to Susan the Fabricator.

Susan of course failed to advise Ms. Carvin that the terms of the loan were not fair and reasonable to her, especially since Carvin wasn’t given the promised security of a recorded mortgage. Susan also failed to advise Ms. Carvin to seek the advice of another attorney.

As a consequence of her misconduct, enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Conduct Committee punished Susan by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2013), Susan practices at 400 West Capitol Avenue in Little Rock, Arkansas.
