Attorney George DeWit of Saginaw, MI; ethical misfit

The state of Michigan provided George L. DeWit with a law license in 1964 after he graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.

A disciplinary hearing panel found George guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to timely appear at a court scheduled pre-trial hearing
  2. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  3. Failed to appear at client’s sentencing hearing
  4. Failed to provide competent legal services
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished George by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2013) George practices at 5215 Shattuck Road in Saginaw, Michigan.
