Attorney Thomas Pearson of Houston; ethical misfit

The state of Texas presented Thomas Jack Pearson with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from the University of Houston Law School.

The Grievance Committee found Tom guilty of the following misconduct.

Tommy represented minors in a civil toxic lawsuit. The defendants in the lawsuit proposed settlement funds with Tom to be held in his trust account until the trial court approved the settlements.

Tommy failed to obtain the required releases from his clients and the settlement failed to come to fruition. Tommy was unable to return the proposed settlement funds to the defendants because he had improperly spent the funds.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Rahul by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 7-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Tommy.

As we speak (ca. August 2013), Tommy practices at 5850 San Felipe in Houston, Texas.
