Attorney R. Blois Colpitts of Nova Scotia; repeat offender

The Law Society of Canada presented R. Blois Colpitts with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of New Brunswick Law School.

The Nova Scotia Barristers Society found Colpitts guilty of the following misconduct.

During his representation of Knowledge House Inc. Colpitts failed to identify potential conflicts of interest.

In addition, Colpitts is facing criminal charges in connection with Knowledge House amidst allegations of stock manipulation. Previously, Colpitts agreed to pay a penalty of $50,000 for failing to uncover evidence of an alleged conspiracy among directors to inflate the price of Knowledge House stock.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Colpitts’ 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nova Scotia Barristers Society punished Colpitts by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2013), Colpitts practices with RBC Law, Inc. at 1701 Hollis Street in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
