Attorney Herlinda Rodriguez of Bryan, TX; ethical dwarf

The state of Texas presented Herlinda Rodriguez with a law license in 1983 after she graduated from the University of Texas Law College.

A panel of the District 8 Grievance Committee found Herlinda guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Herlinda failed to file a mandatory answer to a lawsuit on behalf of her client, and failed to appear at a court scheduled hearing on her client’s behalf. Herlinda also failed to keep her client reasonably informed about the status of his case.

As a result of Herlinda’s gross negligence and incompetence, a default judgment was entered against her client.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Herlinda by gifting her with a complimentary fully probated 18-month suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Herlinda.

As we speak (ca. July 2013) Herlinda practices at 3907 North Texas Avenue in Bryan, Texas.
