Gov. Rick Perry: Today’s “Humanitarian” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Gov. Rick Perry
Today’s “Humanitarian” Award Winner

In addition to being a Humanitarian, Ricky is also a well-respected Moron, Lunatic, and Aspiring Standup Comedian.

In June 2013, the Texas State Legislature passed legislation authored by Rep. Senfronia Thompson and Sen. Wendy Davis that would have required equal pay for equal work for women in Texas.

When the legislation landed on Rick’s desk, he did what most practicing Humanitarians would have done, he vetoed the bill.

One of Ricky’s state-paid mouthpieces laughingly claimed that Ricky vetoed the bill because it duplicated federal law.

As an admitted Born Again Christian and renowned Humanitarian, Ricky decided to protect the interests of his business friends in Texas by making it more difficult for women by forcing them to file a lawsuit in federal court rather in state court in Texas for discrimination involving less pay for the same work.

Forty-two (42) states have passed equal pay laws like the one Ricky the Humanitarian vetoed.

Seemingly, Ricky is satisfied that women currently earn only 77 cents ($0.77) for every dollar a man earns.

And lastly, maybe Ricky should consider legislation mandating that if another female like Ann Richards were to become governor that, her annual salary would be limited to 77% of what Ricky earns. After all, it would be the act of a true Humanitarian, right?

Congrats Ricky; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s most Disrespected “Humanitarians”; you are far too humble.
