Judge Martin McDonald of Louisville; Judge Roy Bean Wannabee, bully

The state of Kentucky presented Martin F. McDonald with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Louisville Law School.

FYI: Roy Bean was a saloon-keeper and Justice of the Peace, who called himself “The Law West of the Pecos.” In addition, Judge Bean was affectionately referred to as “The Hanging Judge.”

After sitting on the bench as an elected judge, McDonald retired and then returned to the bench as a senior retired judge by appointment only, which allowed him to receive his undeserved pension along with daily wages of over $400.

The Kentucky Judicial Conduct Commission recently charged Judge McDonald with the following misconduct.

In one matter, McDonald was assigned to hear an appeal by 63-year-old Roger dale Epperson, who is waiting to be executed for the June 1985 murders of Ed and Bessie Morris.

During a hearing in September 2012, McDonald spoke directly to public defender David Barron by telling him, “if you ever call me on my cell phone again, I’ll strangle you.” McDonald then told Barron he would have his law license “yanked” if such a call were made in the future.”

In another matter, McDonald refused to let a defendant who was representing himself present any argument because he wasn’t a lawyer. McDonald the Moron then ruled against the defendant and awarded the plaintiffs $11,000 in attorney fees.

Of course the Moronic Bully absolutely knew that he knowingly violated the defendant’s due process rights by refusing to allow him to argue his case. In addition, he knew that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled many years ago that every party has a constitutional right to represent themselves and cannot be made to employ an attorney.

All that’s left now is to see if the Kentucky Supreme Court will punish Martin the Moron by permanently voiding his law license.
