Ari Fleischer: Today’s “Lunatic” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Ari Fleischer
Today’s “Lunatic”Award Winner

Ari served as press secretary (mouthpiece) for former President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2003.

During an interview on May 2, 2013 on CNN, Ari argued that the United States was justified in opening the prison at Guantanamo Bay. Ari said that Bush was right to open the detention camp because terrorists do not adhere to “the law of war.”

Ari was correctly criticized by legal expert Jeffrey Toobin for bringing Adolf Hitler into the conversation and saying he believes Osama Bin Laden and al-Qaeda were no worse than the Nazis, whom the US defeated by following “the rule of war.”

The Loon responded to Toobin’s criticism by saying, “The Germans followed the law of war. They wore uniforms and fought us on the battlefields. These people are fundamentally, totally by design, different. And they need to be treated in a different extrajudicial system.”

In addition to being a Certified Lunatic, Ari is also a total Ass. In Ari’s demented mind, the Nazi extermination of the Jews was “by the book” since they were donning military uniforms.

Congrats Ari; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s Least Appreciated “Lunatics”; you are far too humble.
