Attorney Jeffrey Coffee of Buda, TX; ethical misfit

The state of Texas presented Jeffrey N. Coffee with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from the University of Houston Law College.

A panel of the district 15-C Grievance Committee found Jeffrey guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  2. Failed to respond to client inquiries
  3. Failed to keep client informed about the status of his legal matter
  4. Failed to respond to mandatory discovery requests
  5. Failed to return file to client after being fired
  6. Failed to refund unearned legal fees (crook)
  7. Failed to timely respond to grievance panel (Up yours, said Jeffrey!)
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Jeffrey by gifting him with a complimentary1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2013) Jeffrey continues to practice in the Buda, Texas area.
