Attorney Augustin Benitez of Orlando; lying loser

 
The state of Florida presented Augustin Rafael Benitez with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Northwestern University Law School.
 
The Florida Bar found Augustin guilty of the following misconduct.
 
Following an adverse ruling by Judge Frederick Lauten involving his representation of two clients, Augustin found it appropriate to file an affidavit to disqualify the judge that contained numerous falsehoods and defamatory comments about the judge’s qualifications and integrity.
 
A few examples of Augustin’s comments are as follows:
  • “I know that Judge Lauten has previously wrongfully used his position to further his own agenda”
  • “I believe that Judge Lauten is intellectually dishonest and will manipulate or ignore the law to get his way or do what he wants to do”
  • “It is apparent that Judge Lauten wanted to harm and embarrass Jacquelyn Myers and Gus Benitez [Austin’s clients]”
As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Augustin by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
