Berkeley Law Student Justin Teixeira: Today’s “Humanitarian” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Berkeley Law Student Justin Teixeira
Today’s “Humanitarian”Award Winner

Justin is currently (ca. April 2013) a third year law student at the University of California, Berkeley Boat Hall Law School. Justin lives in Placerville, California, which is suburb of Sacramento.

Justin was recently arrested in Las Vegas and criminally charged with animal killing and animal torture, all of which are felonies. Apparently, Justin thought it was cute to kill a helmeted guinea-fowl name Turk at the Flamingo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Security tapes from the Flamingo show Justin and two fellow Berkeley students chasing the gray bird to a walkway where the bird’s body was found. The head was found amid nearby rocks. The video does not clearly indicate exactly how the bird was beheaded.

Some have erroneously opined that a felony conviction could block Justin’s ability to obtain a license to practice law in Calfifornia. There are hundreds if not thousands of convicted felons practicing law in the State of California as we speak (ca. April 2013).

It’s probably safe to say that Justin’s application to become a member of PETA will be summarily denied.

Congrats Steve; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s Least Appreciated “Humanitarians”; you are far too humble.
