Attorney William Shea of Meriden, CT; repeat offender
The state of Connecticut provided William T. Shea with a law license in 1973.
The Statewide Grievance Committee found William guilty of misconduct on at least two occasions as set forth below.
William’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree
In one matter, William failed to represent the best interests of his client due to the fact that was more concerned about enriching himself to the tune of $50,000. The best interests of Williams’ clients was to settle several claims before trial commenced, but William refused to implement the settlements because he was more concerned about reaping a financial reward for himself then he was in representing the interests of his clients.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Daniel by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
William’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree
In one matter, William previously represented Tammy Casciano. Subsequently, William represented another party in a divorce proceeding against Tammy without ever obtaining a written waiver from her as to the obvious conflict of interest.
William also facilitated a land transfer to avoid a possible unfavorable ruling in housing court.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Daniel by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. April 2013) William practices with Shea & Cook LLC at 290 Pratt Street in Meriden, Connecticut.
