The state of California provided Michael Corr Carney of with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from San Fernando Valley Law School, which is a 3rd tier school dedicated to taking in losers that couldn’t get accepted at mainstream schools like UCLA, USC or Pepperdine.
 
The California Bar Court found Michael guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to communicate with clients
  2. Failed to perform legal services
  3. Failed to properly supervise office staff
  4. Failed to file quarterly probation reports from prior finding of misconduct
  5. Negligent misappropriation (theft) of client funds
In one matter, Michael was hired to represent a family in a personal injury matter. Michael settled the case for $4,500. One of the checks that Michael paid to his client’s from the settlement bounced due to the embezzlement of his office staff. Subsequently, Michael stopped returning his client’s calls. The clients then sued Michael in small claims court and obtained a $3,750 judgment against him.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Alan by gifting him with a complimentary 2- year term of probation.
 
As we speak (ca. April 2013) Michael practices at 3315 Glendale Blvd in Los Angeles, California.
