Attorney Steven DeCillis of Oxford, NC; ethical dwarf The state of North Carolina presented Steven B. DeCillis with a law license in 1994.
The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar charged Steven with the following misconduct.
In one matter, Steven was hired to represent a client, E.P.V. involved in an auto accident, which then led to Steven filing a lawsuit on her behalf against L.T.H.
Several months later, L.T.H. hired Steven to represent her on two separate legal matters, the personal injury matter involving E.P.V. was still pending at the time. Two months later, L.T.H. hired Steven to represent her in a third matter unrelated to the personal injury matter.
At no time did Steven ever ask E.P.V. for her consent to allow him to represent the woman, L.T.H. that she was suing for personal injury claims.
Steven then took his representation of L.T.H. to a new lever when he began to have sexual relations with her while he was still representing E.P.V. Seems as though Steven was screwing everyone he could!
All that’s left now is for the North Carolina Supreme Court to determine the punishment that Stephen will receive for his egregious misconduct
As we speak (ca. May 2013) Steven continues to practice in the Oxford, North Carolina area.
