Attorney Glenn Blise of Kenosha, WI; ethical goblin

The state of Wisconsin presented Glenn J. Blise with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Marquette University Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Glenn guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Failed to respond to client inquiries about status of legal matter
  • Failed to promptly respond to OLR grievance (Up Yours, said Glenn!)
  • Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
In one matter, Glenn represented an incarcerated client’s worker’s compensation claim. Glenn initially pursued the matter by petition to modify a prior compromise agreement. Glenn advised the client that it would be better to pursue the matter after he was released from jail. Once the client was released, however, Glenn failed to pursue the matter and then failed to respond to numerous client inquiries.

In another matter, Glenn represented a client on several ordinance violations, including a DUI charge. The client’s mother paid Glenn $2,000. After an initial appearance, Glenn did little further work for the client.

In a third matter, Glenn represented a husband and wife in an auto accident case. Glenn settled the wife’s claim. Glenn subsequently filed a lawsuit on the husband’s behalf just before the statute of limitations expired. However, Glenn didn’t prosecute the case and it was dismissed by the trial court nine months later.

In a fourth matter, Glenn was hired to explore an appeal or other post-conviction relief for a client. The client’s mother paid Blise $7,500. Glenn met with the client on only one occasion and thereafter never communicated with him.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme
Court punished Glenn by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2013) Glenn practices at 1108 56th Street in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
