The state of Michigan presented Michael E. Thomas with a law license in 1975.
The Michigan Attorney Disciplinary Board found Michael guilty of the following misconduct
In one matter, Michael received about $14,000 from a client to hold for payment of in-home nursing care; however, Michael deposited the funds into his and his wife’s personal account.
In another matter, Michael was hired by a client to prepare a deed to a home; however, when in preparing the deed he gave his client’s interest in the home to himself. What a guy!
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Michigan Attorney Disciplinary Board punished Michael by revoking his law license. However, the comedians sitting on the Board subsequently reinstated Michael’s law license.
As we speak (ca. March 2013), Michael practices with Michael E. Thomas PC at 5206 Gateway Center in Flint, Michigan.
