Attorney William Estes of Richmond, TX; ethical dwarf

The state of Texas presented William F. Estes with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of Oklahoma Law College.

A panel of the district 5-A Grievance Committee found William guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, William employed a non-attorney as a legal assistant and promised to share legal fees with him for any personal injury cases the assistant solicited on behalf of William.

During the time the assistant’s employment, William did, in fact share legal fees with his assistant, which were related to clients the assistant had solicited. In sharing legal fees with the assistant. Therefore, William was guilty of improperly assisting the assistant in the unauthorized practice of law.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished William by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2013) William practices with the Estes Law Firm PC at 1708 Thompson road in Richmond, Texas.
