Attorney David Chapman of Fort Worth; ethical misfit

The state of Texas presented David K. Chapman with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the University of Texas Law School.

The District 7-A Grievance Committee found David guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, a client hired David to represent him in a criminal matter, for which he paid David $3,000.

On two occasions, the client wrote David and asked for an update on his case, but David never responded.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished David by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2013) David continues to practice law in the Fort Worth area.
